OVERVIEW: Whether you are an aspiring leader, an established director, or a seasoned executive, healthcare continues to evolve, so must healthcare leaders. Our ability to coach, mentor, and develop our staff is a key driver of improvement in outcomes and high-quality patient care.
The 2024 LHA Leadership Development Institute is a structured, action-oriented leadership enhancement class designed to help healthcare leaders be more effective and impactful. For healthcare organizations to remain competitive in an ever-changing healthcare market, our leaders must be equipped to inspire others, think strategically, and drive results during times of volatility, complexity, and uncertainty. The Institute focuses on facilitating shared learning around trusted, principle-based healthcare leadership and decision making. This interactive workshop covers the topics most important for successful leadership. Participants will leave with tools, strategies, and a deeper understanding of what it takes to be an agile and resilient leader. Participants will also learn from senior healthcare leaders as they share their experiences and insights during an Executive Leadership Panel aimed at providing practical experiences that can be immediately applied.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
• Recognize the impact of personality type on communication, workstyle, and effectiveness;
• Understand the VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) healthcare environment and how to become a more agile and resilient leader;
• Discover strategies for leading teams more effectively by using critical coaching and communication skills;
• Assess and strategize on developing and building team capacity for more impact;
• Gain insight from an Executive Leadership Panel on leading in a dynamic healthcare environment; and
• Develop a mini-leadership development plan to improve effectiveness and add value in personal leadership with the participant’s team and in the organization.
